Banjo

By (very enthusiastic) suggestion from my lil' Ecuadorian host siblings, she was dubbed "Banjo." I doubled the N to give her the 6-letter naming convention, although she will not be a SGrub player.

Bio: Your name is BANJO ANDOTE. You are DEAD. You DIED as soon as you escaped from the grub trials, and have spent many sweeps being DEAD. You don't understand why, but you are aware of yourself being DEAD, and a connection between you and something (or SOMEONE) else, but being DEAD, your soul can not travel far from your body and find the other end of the connection. When you used your psychic connection with your LUSUS Gl'bgolyb to coerce the low-bloods to drop your DEAD body into the ocean, they first BROKE OFF YOUR HORN and laughed at you. You now use the HORNKIND specibus, with a preference for snapping the horns off of lowbloods and then stabbing them through with their own horns. Well, you would, if you weren't DEAD (have you mentioned the fact that you are dead?) Your body has been laying at the bottom of the ocean for sweeps protected by one very devoted seadweller. You've been alone for a long time. At first, you were CONFUSED. Then, BORED and LONELY. Now, you are just INSANE.

Recently, you BECAME ALIVE. You put your new life to good use, and STABBED MANY MANY THINGS. You often forget to speak, having had no need to speak until recently. Mostly you just ellipses at people. And then stab them. In the short time since becoming alive, you have amassed a small army, and have gone looking for the Condescencion to challenge her for the crown. This is somewhat hindered by your tendency to DIE unexpectedly, although recently you have been able to claw your way back to LIFE quicker. You swear that someday you will find the reason WHY you keep HALF-DYING. You would be enraged to learn of a troll named MALIUM VENSPA.

Meet Banjo.

Banjo is the opposite of my troll Malium Venspa, and was technically my first fan troll? I pretty much made her so I could Make Mal, who doesn't have a specific picture, but is the hero of my entry into the trolldown oct. Which is pretty much all the drawings in my gallery. Go look.
While Mal is on the bottom of the hemospectrum, she's at the top, a sea troll that can challenge the empress. She was overlooked by the trolls serving the empress and culling potential rivals to the crown because, well, she was already dead.

She doesn't know that her symbol (which I forgot to draw? Or maybe I did draw it and just cropped it out) is the mirror image of Malium's image, reflecting that she only has one horn as well, but on the opposite side of her head. Her horn is a bit different, because I wanted to try and make it look more like The condesce's, my personal idea (made before Huss stated that all the castes are indeed shown) is that there are lots and lots of blood castes and each caste's horns vary slightly from the castes around them, so that someone between Aradia and Tavros would have horns somewhere in between a ram's and bull's horns. I also know it would grow back, a la Equius, but I also think that because high bloods have such a long life, everything about them ages and grows slower, and low bloods faster, which would actually fit the lifespan thing. So while Mal has to keep a part of his head shaved in order to constantly file down his missing horn and keep it from growing into his eye, Banjo is still waiting for hers to grow.

That was a tangent.

When Malium finally makes it to his goal of dying, he will fall into the same half-dead trap that Banjo is currently stuck in, and Banjo will finally get her chance at life. And she really wants to live. You can't IMAGINE how much she wants to live. Then, as Mal's god-like psychic healing brings him back to life (which he does NOT want) Banjo dies again. Which SHE does not want. If she knew she was connected to Mal like this, she would throw a fit. The ancestor of the two had both horns and was in the middle of the hemospectrum, nothing notable about him/her at all. At his/her death, s/he was torn in half, body and soul, so that now Banjo and Mal are both separated halves of the one ancestor.

While Malium will eventually learn to talk to this dead ancestor and manipulate death, Banjo had no such interest in learning about being dead, and thus never will.

Banjo is a shade lower blooded than Fef and will never actually kill the Condesce, but not for lack of trying, for anyone who wants to complain that you just CAN'T make royal trolls.
