Snotty Cat

Description

I put it under "Wild Animals" because technically, she is completely wild. I had to sneak really slowly to get as close as I did. :X

She's one of the many feral cats in my college town, most a result, I am told, of students adopting a cat at college, but having no where to keep the cat once they go home or graduate, so they release them. Snotty Cat, as I call her, is one of the most skiddish, although they ALL are skiddish (unlike the squirrels that will bump into you if they're to busy looking for nuts to look where they are walking).

Last year, Snotty Cat had four kittens, this year, I've only seen her with two: the little red stripey one, and the Calico curled at her feet.

You can kind of see why she is named "Snotty Cat" by that glare she's giving the camera. And that is her happy face.

Her little boy, on the other hand, is a little scared of me, but just as curious to know why I'm crouched in the garden with my camera and a bush molesting my head.

Please, if you are going to take care of a cat, either have him or her spayed/neutered, or be sure you can care for him or her for as long as they need your care.
Cats are not disposable toys.

Have any spay and neuter organizations in town who may be helpful with feral/other cats in your area? Many municipalities and humane societies will trap, s/n, then release as a public service. Overall, I hear these programs are not as successful as people might hope, but it's much better than nothing.
